must be informed of how, what and why this information is used; and also whom we may share the information with.
At the Sewing Studio the only Personal Data
collected is: Name, Address and Contact Details.
How we use this information
The Personal Data
is used to ensure that garments brought into the studio are clearly identified with your details. When we have to make contact with a customer, their preferred option of contact will be used.
What we use the information for
The Personal Data
is used for identification of individual customers together with the garments belonging to them. If you are having bridal work carried out, we also record the name of the shop from which the dress was purchased.
For all customers, the area you live in is recorded.
Why we use this information
This information is to identify you and the item(s) you have brought into the Studio.
Bridal Customers
- The name of the bridal shop you purchased your dress from helps us to identify where our work is generated.
All customers
- The area from which you come from helps us to know our catchment area and helps us to formulate our business plan.
Who we share this information with
We do not share any of the information collected with a Third Party. However, when a customer requires specialist cleaning, we will share the customer’s name with our cleaning company: Pressing Needs of Fareham (for which we act as agents). If you require this service, we will ask permission for us to share this information with them.
Security
We store Personal Data
securely in locked cabinets and keep it for 7 years in accordance with the Inland Revenue guidelines.
